Lots of movement day
Today we finished moving every thing out of the apt and into the house, Templater Igor spent the day in the kitchen working on our counter shape, the dishwasher arrived, Louis, a freight guy, finally was successful in getting the slate tiles we've been trying to return for the past 2 weeks in his truck, the shower trims arrived and JP, the plumber, installed one set in the guest bathroom, the balcony railings and 600lbs of glass arrived, Kris got another pair of shoes delivered (thought I might just add that in and see if you are really reading the blog or just looking at the pics!), paid my taxes at the town hall and after a well deserved dinner at our favourite Mariachi loco, checked in at the hotel. Now I need to go back to the apt just to empty the fridge then finally farewell and hand in my keys to the Manuel.
Three truck loads later
It takes 1 1/2 days to move everything out of the apt!!! Crazy!! Now everything is piled in the center of the rooms of the house and there's no space to move!!!
The boys did a spectacular job helping since Friday afternoon to this Monday morning! We're not quite ready to move into the house so a few days in a hotel and then home sweet home!
Kamal has been incredible- yes you hear me right! He got back from London on business on Sat afternoon then got into move mode!
Pallavi came on Sat and did a Lord Ganesh puja to bless our home. I am grateful she knows what to do and it made me feel really good! As many of you know I collect Lord Ganesh statues so it was wonderful to have this blessing
I got to sneak a way for the afternoon as Kris had a magical opportunity and played with the Greater Westchester Youth Orchestra at the Lincoln Center! Who would have thought when he started the violin at age 3 1/2 that he would one day play there! It was a very proud moment and it was very disappointing for Kamal who couldn't be there. I came back recharged and thought it was a dream as we got right back into working with the movers to get the trick loaded. At one point the boys did pass the parcel with the movers from the 1 st floor to the ground floor to get the boxes down quicker! I have strong boys!

We started on the linen closet tonight and now I think we r getting the hang of putting the closets system up. I know Nesh will be happy to help tomorrow.
